We believe that open and honest conversation is only possible in a space where you feel completely safe. This safety is built on trust, and trust is impossible without privacy. That's why protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices are the core principles guiding how we build Elomia.
We've designed our policies to be clear and accessible to everyone. As always, we welcome your questions and suggestions. You can reach us by email at support@elomia.com or by phone at (302) 244-7193.

Important service limitations and disclaimers.
No, Elomia is not a medical device and does not provide diagnoses or suggest treatments.
While some studies suggest that the app can have a positive impact on certain symptoms, there is currently no solid evidence that it can treat conditions like depression or anxiety. We don't have enough evidence to make general claims about its effectiveness.
Elomia is a self-help tool. While it can teach you coping strategies and provide guidance, it can't diagnose, treat, or cure any health conditions. Therefore, it can't replace a therapist.
The app is designed for people who may not have access to professional services due to cost or stigma. It can also be a great first step if you're curious about therapy but aren't ready to commit, or if you're unsure whether you need it.
If you're choosing between Elomia and professional care, we strongly encourage you to choose professional care. You're welcome to use Elomia alongside medical treatment, but it should never be used as a replacement.
No, Elomia is not designed for emergency or crisis situations and should never be used as a substitute for immediate help.
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, having thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or facing any other urgent situation, please reach out to emergency services or a crisis hotline. Elomia cannot provide the immediate, specialized support you need in these moments.
Under the hood, our system uses open-access models, models we've built internally, and models developed by OpenAI and Anthropic. Most of the models we use have been fine-tuned on specialized datasets created by our clinical team to improve their reliability.
We follow minimal data collection principles and only collect and store what's necessary to provide you with the service. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Our data protection is designed to meet SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA standards.
We use Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. For additional security, we work with an external security firm to guide and oversee our practices.
Yes, all data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
Never.
By default, only you can access your messages and other content.
If you choose to share your data, you can. For example, you can use the "Share" feature to send your chat history to a therapist. We'll always ask you to confirm before sharing to prevent it from happening by accident.
To improve our service, we sometimes use data from a small number of users to train our AI models, perform quality checks, and monitor for safety. When we do this, we use an automated process to make the data completely anonymous. This means all personal information is removed, and it's impossible to link the data back to you.
No, we have no mandatory reporting obligations and don't report users to authorities based on the content of their conversations.
If you choose to have your subscription provided by a third party (such as a therapist or psychiatrist) and they require us to share data to better support you in your regular therapy sessions, we'll always get your explicit consent first. You can also opt out at any time.
Yes, you can delete your data at any time. You can either use the Settings section within the app or email us at support@elomia.com.
